Kate House-Hunting in Hollywood?

Reader itsaboutthekids has sent this link stating Kate is now looking at homes in the Los Angeles area. Can placing the children in a cage and charging money to see them be far behind?

OMG...spare me. The citizens of Pennsylvania will rejoice - and I pity the residents of Hollywood. Thanks for the laugh this morning - the "girl next door" had me spitting my cereal out. :)

It could be true since she could easily film the kids in LA, but she'd need Jon's approval to move them there (I guess he would give it for money). However, Popeater is probably just repeating what has been fed to them by TLC and Kate's publicity people to enhance her star quality (she's too good for PA). Now that she's back in the limelight, expect some new relevation from her PR each week. I doubt she'd make the move without her "booty"guard.

I think Kate is hoping Mady is the next Hannah Montana.

Personally, I think the kids couldn't be in a better place. Good school, big home and yard. And yes, I think the kids do need that.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Jon is going to come around, but honestly I have faith in neither one.

Get over yourself! If I had a neighbor like you, I would definetely move out of state to a gated community since you think you are entitled to hang out with paparazzi in front of their home and take pictures because she is a public figure. Maybe you're upset because your blog would mean nothing anymore? Seriously, I would trade my long island home with rough winters for Ca life if I had a job there. The cast of All My Children did, and guess what?, many are moms. Why don't you start5 your next crusade against all people who move out of state for a job. How can you counsel people if you are so judgemental? You baffle me. I disagree with you on so much so I doubt you will post this. Que sera...

I honestly do not understand the vitriol this woman inspires...on both sides of the issue. There must a lot of very, very unhappy women out there.

Drama, I'm sure no one around here would be upset if they moved. They've never really been a part of this small community although I'm sure they would've been welcomed if they tried. I haven't heard of one person who's had a pleasant exchange with Kate, although some people have tried when they first moved here. Jon's nice but not really a part of Wernersville, but in his defense it's not like there's a lot to do here anyway. He has taken the kids to The Cone which is the sweet little ice cream place in town.

Georgia, I hate to think of the sqwabble that would occur if she tried to move the kids away from Jon. That would be heartbreaking and just add to the confusion the kids must be going through.

Anon, I wonder if Kate wants to move there so the kids could be stars, or she could be one? In either case, wouldn't the best way to spend the most time with the kids be to stay in this home that they said they bought for the kids to grow up in, and find a way to make a living here, and let the papparazis fade away? I believe she could easily do this by writing from home. I do not believe she is suffering financially and needs to do all these TV things in order to provide for the children. How badly is she suffering if she's looking at $2 million homes in L.A., when the housing market is terrible and she'd probably not be able to sell the one she spent $1.3 million for here?

Melissa, as usual you've made negative assumptions. I've never hung out with papparazi. In fact I had a one-minute conversation with one of them, and it did not involve hanging out at all. I am already aware that my blog means nothing, and I could care less. I just enjoy discussing this with other interested people. What baffles me is why you keep coming here and leaving nasty comments, yet you accuse others of being judgemental and crusading. Not sure what you are trying to accomplish.

I hope she doesn't move. I think her best decision is keeping the kids where they are in familiar surroundings. I don't want to miss our small town insider info on them. We'll always have Jon, though, lol.

Kate lives on DWTS for another week. This has got to fixed. It's like she's made of Teflon.

I've always thought Kate inspires to be like a Martha Stewart. You know, fake it like you do all your own gardening, cooking, etc. but have a staff behind the scenes really do it all. BUT....Martha has talent and "most excellent" taste so I enjoy her shows (she's on Hallmark Channel now). She also built her empire from the ground up and worked hard in the early years and I admire that.

WG, there has been so much speculation in regards to those infamous pap pictures at the Gosselins, that I think it is great that you take the time to just speak to them. They sell their pictures to make a living and then scum like Radaronline add editorial comments, true or not.

And Melissa, I think you are much too angry about people you do not know personally. I don't fault anyone making a living to support their family, but if someone is blessed with many children, then what I take issue with is using them to promote yourself and force those children to participate in making the money. The Gosselin saga has gone far beyond making money to make ends meet. It's all about life style and being famous for the adults.

Other thoughts why Kate won't take the kids full time to Hollywood---free private school and college in PA. Maybe she'll go on to Hollywood by herself and let Jon raise the kids in PA and then ship the kids to Hollywood when necessary. Of course, this would blow her image as a working mom doing it all; but hey, one must sacrifice for the good of the family ;) I still think the rumors are a bunch of hooey started by her PR to get in the tabloids.

I'm not watching the hearing but this has been posted which summerizes the Kreider's testimony. Also, the feed has been a problem, but the hearing is being taped to be viewed later.

Aunt Jodi and Uncle Kevin's Testimony:

Jodi chokes up as she says we want our neices and nephews protected, and all children.
Jodi: "Very little reality involved in reality TV"
Jodi says they are advocates and voices for the children involved in reality TV
Each episode was planned and formal
Jon and Kate signed a contract without a lawyer
The children's schedule revolved around the needs of an episode, the crew didn’t follow them along their routine
Video cameras in children’s bedrooms that operated continuously
Kevin regrets allowing his own children to be filmed.
Children were filmed in bathroom, often with no parent there
The children were told it was Christmas morning so camera crew would get a genuine reaction. They were told later it was not really Christmas morning.
Mady is labeled at school as the difficult or bad one
Children were often left alone with crew without parents.
The children would voice dislike of going to events and sit-down interviews
Children cannot "defend, delete, or erase"the private moments that have been filmed

This is from your "15 Minutes Gosselin Style" link, WG. The Xmas morning testimony makes me want to cry. What kind of memories will these kids have?
